UEMSA offers educational courses and certifications that cover first aid, basic life support, CPR and the use of an AED. These certifications can be used to work and gain volunteer and patient care hours in many areas of the health care system, including Emergency Medical Services (EMS), healthcare settings, and even here on campus!
UEMSA is designed for students who aspire for a career in healthcare and medicine, especially EMS, or those who are looking for a unique leadership opportunities.
Our goals are to provide the education necessary for seeking those careers through educational lectures, EMR and CPR certification, and practical experience in emergency medicine. We also hope to foster new interest in the field of emergency medicine.
Our mission is to raise the bar of safety on the USF Tampa campus, and in the community, with educational opportunities and a campus–based, student run, volunteer rescue EMS system.
